VINTAGE DESCRIPTION
This was a very good vintage with warm dry conditions throughout March and April providing very favourable fruit flavours with excellent natural acid & balance

WINEMAKING NOTES
All varieties were picked separately at optimum flavour. Fermented in separate batches, stabilised and meticulously blended to give this unique style, retaining great fruit characters

WINE COLOUR
Vibrant red with dark purple hue

WINE BOUQUET
An excellent intensity of rich ripe blackcurrant fruit with a hint of spicy chocolate. Delightful wine on thenose
WINE PALATE
This wine is quite a smooth style with ample Mulberries and Sweet Cherry characters. A solid tannin backbone to compliment this fruit driven wine with a touch of Merlot to add the soft and rounded finish on the palate

SUGGESTED FOOD MATCHING
Enjoy with veal or a rich pasta dishes.

CELLARING NOTES
An outstanding wine made to drink young and fresh or cellar until 2008
