2006 Cabernet Shiraz Merlot

VINTAGE
A warm dry ripening period resulted in excellent fruit flavour development and acid balance of the wines.

WINEMAKING
All varieties were picked separately at optimum flavour. Fermented in separate batches, stabilised and meticulously blended to give this unique style, retaining great fruit characters.

COLOUR
Beautiful dark purple in colour.

BOUQUET
Classic cherry liqueur, plum and fruitcake aromas.

PALATE
Velvety smooth plum, cherry and fruitcake flavours, backed up by some lovely chocolatey oak with a fine structured finish.

SUGGESTED FOOD
Enjoy with veal or rich pasta dishes.

CELLARING
A very attractive wine now, the 2006 cabernet shiraz merlot will reward careful cellaring up to 2012.
