2007 Shiraz

VINTAGE
A warm dry ripening period resulted in excellent fruit flavour development, colour and acid balance in the grapes.

WINEMAKING
Favourable conditions allowed us to harvest the shiraz in early April. A long ferment with up to 14 days on skins has resulted in a true Coonawarra classic shiraz.

COLOUR
Intense red in colour.

BOUQUET
Rich raspberry and strawberry conserve aroma coupled with a fragrant lift of violet.

PALATE
An elegant palate of typical shiraz fruit flavour with a touch of pepper and spice and an excellent balance of French and American oak creating a seamless finish.

SUGGESTED FOOD
Enjoy with venison and duck dishes or fine cheeses.

CELLARING
The fruit and tannin structure of this classy Shiraz is ready to drink now and will improve in the cellar.
