2011 Harvest

Due to the cooler wetter winter bud burst was approximately 1-2 weeks later than 2009, however at this stage bud burst has occurred in all varieties. We have spent the past couple of months installing frost upgrades to the frost system to ensure that the vineyard is well prepared to handle any severe frost events that we can be prone to in the Coonawarra region. We are currently experiencing mild to warm weather with slightly higher night temperatures and frost events have been minimal. Our employees have responded to several frost alarm call outs with majority being logged as "non events". Hopefully the weather conditions continue and with slightly higher bud numbers in most varieties the 2010 – 2011 season should produce high quality fruit.
