2006 Cabernet Sauvignon

VINTAGE
A warm dry ripening period resulted in excellent fruit flavour development, colour and acid balance in the grapes.

WINEMAKING
Favourable conditions allowed us to harvest the cabernet sauvignon in early April. A long ferment with up to 14 days on skins has resulted in a true Coonawarra classic cabernet sauvignon.

COLOUR
Deep vibrant purple.

BOUQUET
Enticing blackberry and plum aromas with a spicy, vanillan oak edge.

PALATE
Elegant palate of vibrant fruit flavours with a complex and lingering cherry chocolate finish.

SUGGESTED FOOD
Enjoy with a premium steak.

CELLARING
A very attractive wine now, the 2006 cabernet sauvignon has longevity and will reward careful cellaring up to 2016.
